In the present series of EML 2000 we offer four sidecar types i.e. SPEED 2000, CT 2001, GT 2001 and E 2000.

MOTORCYCLE MODIFICATIONS

In order to deliver a motorcycle with sidecar according today’s regulations and safety standards and to make sure you will enjoy the road holding qualities and brake performance of your rig we modify the motorcycle.

The SPEED 2000 is standard equipped with a sidecar brake and stainless steel brake hoses. EML uses stainless steel brake hoses for the sidecar and the motorcycle modification, the wheel bolts are made of stainless steel as well.

The already familiar H.C.A.D. suspension system has been fitted with a new shock absorber, which can be adjusted manually (return damping) in order to create even better road holding qualities. This shock absorber is made of stainless steel and aluminium.

CT 2001   back

In addition to standard equipment such as roof-top made of cabriole material with big windows running over the top, wheel bolts made of stainless steel, stainless steel brake hoses for the complete side-car and motorcycle modification, the CT 2001 is fitted with a new electrical ventilation system with a heating system as additional option for an even better climate control.

The CT 2001 is also fitted with the H.C.A.D. suspension system and the adjustable shock absorber. This shock absorber is made of stainless steel and aluminium.

GT 2001 back

E 2000 back

For the adventure loving sidecar drivers we now have the E 2000 sidecar.

The E 2000 is special made for off road purposes and can be build on the BMW R850GS, R1100GS and the R1150GS which have a special modification as well. The E 2000 is equipped with brake, stainless steel brake hoses, stainless steel wheel bolts, grip bars, and foot support on the outside.

The E2000 is not equiped with the H.C.A.D. suspension system and windscreen.

H.C.A.D. SYSTEM.

The H.C.A.D. (High Comfort Anti Dive) sidecar suspension system brings a new dimension to sidecar riding.

There is much left to be desired in regard to the ride comfort of sidecars. Due to the rigid suspension which most of the present sidecars are equipped with, the passenger feels the rough and unevenness of road surfaces. This caused by the short stroke suspension.
The H.C.A.D. suspension system in combination with the new EML developed shock absorber of which the return damping can be manual adjusted, results in a suspension stroke of 100 mm.

This suspension system will provide you and your passenger(s) added pleasure in riding.

BRAKE SYSTEM.

Because of the high quality and safety standards of EML sidecars the brake hoses have been improved. By using stainless steel brake hoses the brake quality is better. All the brake hoses of the sidecar and motorcycle modification will be delivered in stainless steel.

BRAKE SYSTEM.

Grimeca 2-piston brake calliper with 200 mm brake disc and stainless steel brake hoses.

SUSPENSION SYSTEM.

H.C.A.D. with the stainless steel adjustable (return stroke damping) shock absorbers. Suspension distance 100 mm.

The E 2000 sidecar is not equipped with the H.C.A.D. system but will be delivered with the stainless steel shock absorber and has a suspension distance of 120 mm.

SIDECAR WHEEL.

A 14” inch 165/65R14 Michelin tyre mounted on an EML manufactured wheel. The wheel is mounted with stainless steel bolts.

(The E 2000 has a 165/70R14 M+S tyre, the sidecars on the Suzuki GSX1300R have a 185/60R14 tyre, the sidecars on the Yamaha XJ900S Div. have a 155/65R14 tyre)

- Front fork with swing arm with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured front wheel assembly.
- The sidecar is mounted on a stiff sub-frame, which replaces the existing stock telelever suspension system.
- A fabricated steel rear swing arm replaces the stock aluminium paralever swing arm assembly, with a 165/70R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” wheel assembly.

BMW R1100 (1150) GS ENDURO (Only available with E 2000) back

- Front fork with swing arm with a 165/70R14 M+S tyre mounted on an EML manufactured front wheel assembly.
- The sidecar is mounted on a stiff sub-frame, which replaces the existing stock telelever suspension system.
- A fabricated steel rear swing arm replaces the stock aluminium paralever swing arm assembly, with a 165/70R14 M+S tyre mounted on a EML manufactured 14” rear wheel assembly

- Front wheel nave steering with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front wheel assembly.
- A stiff sub-frame is mounted front below of the bike on which the sidecar and front swing arm is mounted. This sub-frame replaces the stock telelever system.
- Paralever rear swing arm replaced by a stiff steel mono swing arm.
- A 175/60R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” rear wheel assembly.
- The ABS will be immobilized.

- Front fork with swing arm with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front wheel assembly.
- The sidecar is mounted on a stiff sub-frame attached under the steering head.
- A fabricated steel rear swing arm replaces the stock aluminium paralever swing arm assembly, with a 165/70R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” rear wheel assembly.

BMW K1200 RS back

- Front wheel nave steering with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front wheel assembly.
- A stiff sub-frame is mounted front below of the bike on which the sidecar and front swing arm is mounted.
- Paralever rear swing arm replaced by a stiff steel mono swing arm.
- A 185/55R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14”rear wheel assembly.
- The ABS will be immobilized.

- ExtensoDive front fork with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14”  front wheel assembly.
- A stiff sub-frame is mounted front below of the bike on which the sidecar and front fork is mounted.
- Paralever rear swing arm replaced by a stiff steel mono swing arm.
- A 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” rear wheel assembly.
- The ABS will be immobilized. (Not on the K1200LT with the BMW integral ABS system.)

HONDA GL1200 back  

- Front fork with swing arm with a 125/15 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 15’ front wheel assembly.
- A reinforced steering head.
- A 145/15 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 15” rear wheel assembly.
- On older GL1200 models a new Wheel driver will be mounted, not included in the kit.

- ExtensoDive front fork with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front wheel assembly.
- A stiffer aluminium triple tree replaces the stock lower triple tree.
- A 165/70R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” rear wheel assembly.

A GL1500 manufactured before 1991 needs a new type of wheel driver and transmission rubbers, these are not included in the kit.
- A GL1500 manufactured before 1998 needs a new set brake disc covers, these are not included in the kit.

HONDA GL1800 (Possible with and without ABS)   back

- ExtensoDive front fork with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front wheel assembly.
- A stiffer aluminium triple tree replaces the stock lower triple tree.

The steering head is made longer and is reinforced.

The Honda available brake disc covers can be mounted.
- The sidecar is mounted on a stiff sub-frame attached under the engine.
- A 185/60R15 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 15” rear wheel assembly.
- A GL1800 without ABS needs an ABS ring (back wheel), this is not included in the kit.

HONDA ST1100 (only without ABS-TCS !)   back

- Front fork with swing arm with a 165/65R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured 14” front wheel assembly.
- The sidecar is mounted on a stiff sub-frame attached under the engine.
- A 165/70R14 tyre mounted on an EML manufactured14” wheel assembly.
 

Honda STX1300 (with or without ABS !)   back
